The sweeping and well-cared for park is a green oasis with many attractions at the centre of the resort town of Bad Kissingen.
Outside leisure fun for everyone
Long walkways run along the loop of the Saale river through the park named in honour of Prince Regent Luitpold. A Kneipp water-treading landscape and barefoot labyrinth are integrated in the park, which attract a lot of people especially in summertime. For people with athletic ambitions, there is a fitness station for a workout in addition to running or they can do their workout right there.
The sound garden is another highlight. From May to October, you can listen to harmonic music sounds three times a day, from 09:00 - 11:30 a.m., 03:00 - 04.30 p.m. and 07:00 - 08:30 p.m. During those times, a lot of people gather on the sound garden lawn, listening to meditative sounds and not wishing to be disturbed. If you do not want to sit down on one of the park chairs or if none is available, you can always explore the scent and touch garden and test your knowledge of flowers and herbs.
Famous park brings famous artists to Bad Kissingen
In summertime, the Luitpold Park regularly turns into a concert stage for world stars. Illustrious artists such as Bryan Adams, Roxette, Silbermond and Santiano visited the royal park, to name but a few.
