Guests and residents can travel back in time with Bad Kissingen's stagecoach and reach different spots in and around Bad Kissingen with the last operational stagecoach line of the world.
Nostalgic moments with the coach and the stage-coachman
The yellow carriage-and-four was used for the first time to distribute mail on 7 June 1939 and then operations were discontinued due to the outbreak of World War II. Only in 1950 were operations resumed and it was soon an insiders’ tip for travellers.
From May to 9 October, the coachman drives to the neighbouring resort town of Bad Bocklet on Fridays and Sundays and on Thursdays and Saturdays, the very popular destination is Aschach Castle. All tours start at the Wyndham Garden Hotel, Bismarckstr. 8, at 2:00 p.m. The return trip is at around 5:00 p.m. This unique experience of riding in a stagecoach costs 18 euros (2018 - 22 €) per person and can be booked via Tourist Information in the Arcade Building in Bad Kissingen.
