From April to October, Bad Kissingen’s little steam boats resume operations, they have a 2-kilometre route that they run several times a day.
Combination of walk and boat ride
Ever since 1877, the two steam boats “Kissingen” and “Saline” operated by Saaleschiffahrt, have been touring the river Saale, transporting guests and residents between the landing places Rose Garden and Saline.
Schedule
Depending on the weather, the actual schedule may deviate from the regular schedule.
During the week, the steam boats start at 10:20, 11:00 and 11:40 a.m. and from 2:00 to 5:20 p.m. every twenty minutes at the Rosen Garden landing place. From the Saline landing place, they leave at 10:40 and 11:20 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and between 2:00 and 5:20 p.m. every 20 minutes.
On weekends and holidays, the “Kissingen” and the “Saline” start at the Rosen Garden landing towards the saline from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. as well as from 1:40 to 5:20 p.m. The return rides from the Saline landing are planned for 10:20 a.m., 12:20 p.m. and between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. every 20 minutes.

The graduation tower is not far from the Saline landing. Or you can go on a short walk to the nearby Bismarck museum.
